  Owner Pam Hethcote

Dan is an intact male, born in February, 2009.  He lives with his family on a farm in Tennessee.  He is familiar with livestock having worked with dairy and beef cattle, goats, chickens, ducks, and turkeys.

His owner likes Dan's all-around ability to handle every situation.  He makes decisions that allows things to go smoothly without having commands given for the work that needs to be done.  His concern is always for his humans safety and well being by protecting them from danger - whether it is a cow attack or a snake, he is right on the job.  They love how he makes everything run smoothly on a day-to-day basis on the farm.

His owners would like for him to share more of the work with the other dogs on the farm.  Dan prefers to manage on his own and will occasionally let the others help with the goats or chickens, but ONLY when he feels he needs the help.
