Sire:  Good Shepherd's Hallelujah Rudolph

  Owner Jan Gribble
BackgroundSidhe (pronounced She) is a four-year old intact female living on a farm in New Mexico.  Sidhe works with sheep, goats, and poultry.  She is biddable and has a lot of natural instinct.  She put an escaped goat back (without assistance) at about five months of age.  Sidhe is resilient and will continue to work even after a ewe has put her in a fence.  She has enough grit to stand up to a ewe with lambs.  Sidhe will chase off predators (which her owner discourages because she is smaller than the coyotes in her area).  She has a very stable temperament.  Her less desirable traits are diminishing with age and experience.  She was initially very "enthusiastic" but has learned to rate herself (most of the time).  Sidhe requires more direction than the owner's older stock dog (but this again may simply be a product of less experience).  She does not exhibit a great deal of prey drive and is not effective at varmint control.  While Sidhe initially barked continuously on stock, this has diminished as she has gained experience and confidence.  Now, she mostly barks when necessary.
