BackgroundRing is a five-year old, intact female living with her family in Idaho.  She works with cattle and has had some training with sheep.  Ring works calmly, intelligently, and tries to get the job done without undue conflict.  If needed, she will step up the pressure.  She really seems to excel working with sheep.  Depending on which end of the stock needs work, Ring will grip the heel or nose.  Her owner would like her energy level to be stronger.  She isn't as "up" for long days on the job as her mother is at the age of eleven.
